To hear both sides of a call, Meetily needs your microphone and your computer's audio. Your system asks for these permissions on first launch.

This is the tool I recommend the moment confidentiality comes up. Otter and Fireflies store your meetings on their servers: when you record a client call, you become legally responsible for that transfer. Meetily removes the problem at the root, since nothing leaves your machine. Two things to know before you start. Summary quality depends on the model you run locally, so on your machine: on a recent Apple Silicon Mac it is very good, on a modest setup the summary will be thinner. And there is a paid PRO edition for some advanced features; the free community edition already covers transcription and summaries. If you are torn between this and OpenWhispr, the line is simple: OpenWhispr is everyday dictation across all your apps. Meetily is the dedicated meeting assistant, with real summaries behind it.
